Heather Allan  - RN RMN QSM JP (Chairperson)

Heather has extensive experience in Social Services, Health and Disability Sector, Local Government and Governance.
Her roles include being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee, Maori Advisory Committee, Risk Management Committee, Family/Whanau Advisory Committee, Kai Arahi Trust Board, LUCK Board, Ethics Committee, CEO Employment Committee (Chairperson) and the Innovation Award Committee (Chairperson).

John Doolan  - AFP ALU (Deputy Chairperson)
Appointed 2002

John has a vast experience in Financial Planning and Risk Management, Fundraising and 35 years in the movement of disabled people from institutions to the community.
His role includes being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee and the Whaioro Board.  John also Chairs the Risk Management Committee.

David Barrett
Appointed 2007

David was appointed to the MASH Board as the consumer representative in 2007.  He advocates for people with disabilities in his role as Trustee.
His other roles include being a member of the Kai Arahi Trust (Chairperson), Ethics Committee and Innovation Award Committee.

Bob Carlyon
Appointed 2007

Bob has been involved with disability services for many years. He is the Chairperson of the Kapiti Welcome Trust Board and a member of the MASH Family/Whanau Advisory Committee (Chairperson).

Joan Chettleburgh - BA RN
Appointed 1993

Joan has extensive experience in Management, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health and Physical Disability Services.
Her roles include being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee, CEO Employment Committee, Risk Management Committee and the Quality Governance Committee (Chairperson).  Joan is also a board member of the Whaioro (Deputy Chairperson) and Kai Arahi Trusts.

Sheena Mason BBS, CA
Appointed 2009

Sheena is an Associate with BDO Spicers and has been the firms audit manager since 1986. Sheena is involved in other areas besides audit including insolvency, and the farming, manufacturing and retailing industries. She has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ since 1986.
Sheena's other roles include being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

Julie Nitschke  - RN MA (applied)
Appointed 2007

Julie has extensive experience in surveying in a variety of healthcare settings in New Zealand and Australia.  She also has 29 years experience in the New Zealand health service in the areas of quality, mental health, medical and nursing.
She is also a member of the Quality Governance Committee and the Risk Management Committee.

Peter Rea -  Dip Bus Studs

Peter is a Certified Financial Planner with 19 years experience in this field as well as more than 20 years in the banking industry. He is a Director of the Personal Investment Centre. His role includes being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management committee.

Bill Tither CA(Ret) BBS

Bill has widespread experience in accounting, financial management, and human resource management in the public and private sectors.
His roles include being a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Management Committee (Chairperson) and the CEO Employment Committee.  Bill is also a member of the Whaioro Trust Board.

Margaret Walsh

Margaret has a vast background in social work and counseling including Maori Health.
Her other roles include being a member of the Maori Advisory Committee (Chairperson).  Margaret is also a member of the Whaioro Trust Board.
