Yes! Unless you are booking into a specific class or open group session, your booking is just for you.

Only the people using the items in the sensory room need to pay. We do not charge caregivers and support people when attending with a paying person.

Our Sensory Room can be set up to suit all ages and stages from infants to children, adults, seniors, and groups. This room supports your wellbeing in so many ways, including reducing stress, building cognitive function, connecting to your senses, and increasing resilience. Our team can run guided sessions, or you can enjoy the space independently.

Our Sensory Room has coloured lighting features. If you have epilepsy or any other condition that may be effected by this, please let us know as we can turn these off and set the room up to suit your individual needs. We can talk you through the different things in our room and give you a short 5-minut walk through so you can make an informed decision. We also encourage you to discuss with your health professional first.

Yes! We currently have these available to purchase in person at Te Puna Rau Aroha, 102 Liverpool St Levin.

Yes! We have a ramp leading into the building, plenty of parking, accessible toilets, and wide entryways. How do I find Te Puna Rau Aroha? On Liverpool St, heading towards the mighty Tararua Ranges, continue diring until you have passed the hospital and St John Ambulance Bay. You will see a large MASH Trust sign - turn into this driveway and continue around the bend until you see our bright blue building.

Everyone has different needs, but we find that consistency is the best approach. You might start with once a week, but many people find 2-3 times a week works really well.
