WRAPPED
Mondays 1:00pm – 3:00pm in Palmerston North

Delivered over two sessions, WRAPPED is an interactive psycho-social educational programme, designed to help you in your recovery journey.

The Wellness Recovery Action Plan was developed by Dr. Mary Ellen Copeland and focusses on five key concepts:
HOPE: An optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of a positive outcome with respect of events or circumstances in your life.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY: If we have experienced trauma, or had things happen in our past, or look at how we were brought up we have no control over that now. But we do have responsibility now in how we decide to move forward. We get to choose whether we address and heal the underlying causes of using.

EDUCATION: Through this programme, you will learn about yourself and good coping habits and plans to help you on your recovery journey.

SELF-ADVOCACY: Communicating your needs and sharing what’s working for you and what’s not. Finding your own voice and making your own decisions.

SUPPORT: A support system is a source of encouraging positive decisions and process. It is a positive reinforcement in a person’s recovery. This can look different for everyone.
