Supported Independent Living

Living in a home of your choice, is a big step towards independence and making your own choices. MASH Trust can support you to achieve these goals with our supported living service.

A person is at a kitchen bench stiring a pot with chocolate baking mixture using a wooden spoon.

We can support you to live independently by:

  • Helping you set goals and achieve them.

  • Helping you find a home of your choice.

  • Supporting you to be part of your community and take part in activities.

  • Assisting with grocery shopping and preparing meals.

  • Helping you with household tasks.

  • Supporting your health and wellbeing by doing things like taking you to appointments.

  • Ensuring that your important connections with family and friends are maintained.

It is important to us that the people who come to your home are the right fit for you. At MASH, we involve you and your family/whānau in choosing your support staff.

We work together to achieve great lives for the people we support by using Enabling Good Lives and Whānau Ora.

We support person-centred outcomes, where you have supports that are individually tailored to your needs, dreams, goals – whatever it is that you want to achieve.
